How to find out your ring size

1. How to find out your ring size using a string:

Use thick string, lace or thin ribbon. Wrap it tightly around the base of your finger 5 times, but don’t overtighten. The string should pass easily the phalangeal bone. Cut the extra ends at intersection. Measure a section that was wrapped around your finger using a ruler in millimeters, divide this number by 15.7. The final result is your actual ring size.

 
2. Using paper:

The most common method – put a ring of necessary size on the sheet of paper. Carefully run a contour of ring on the inside. Your ring size is the diameter of the circle.
One more method – carefully circinate a sheet of paper, running in a ring. Fix paper in this position. Master will say to you an actual size using your specimen.

3. Using a chart:

Cut a 1.5 cm slip of paper, wrap it around your finger, tick a contact area by pen or marker. Measure this length using a ruler and you will know a crank circle. A chart below will help you to define an actual size.

4. International conversion of ring sizes

There are different measuring systems in different countries. If you know individual dimensional measures of the finger, you can compare them to the chart and define an actual size.
